In early 2018 Martin Mugica and his team created a partnership with Ardian Infrastructure Partners. Under Martin’s leadership, the company has grown to manage more than 800 MW of wind projects, delivering on an ambitious business plan to create a leading renewable platform in the US. Martin was formerly President & CEO of Iberdrola Renewables (Avangrid), managing a team exceeding 700 people and 6 GW capacity that generated over $1B in sales revenue annually. He holds over 20+ years’ experience building infrastructure projects in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South America and Northern Africa.

James Kim

Director of Finance

Before joining Skyline, James spent 5 years in gaming and leisure, most recently as Director of Strategic Finance at Caesars Entertainment, where he managed a team that evaluated transactions across the company’s global portfolio of assets. Prior to Caesars, James led M&A, capital markets, and investor relations for a growing gaming company until its sale. James started his career in investment banking, executing over $4 billion of sellside and buyside transactions. He was most recently with Houlihan Lokey as a Vice President in its Healthcare M&A group.

M&A, Strategy

Former head of the Strategic Transactions Group at Iberdrola Renewables leading M&A of renewable energy companies and projects under development and in operation across North America. Over 20+ years experience in energy with leadership positions at Constellation Energy and Sempra Energy and member of the expert group of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Brad Kallenberger

Vice President, Asset Management

Brad has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry and joined Skyline in 2018 with the goal of building Skyline’s asset management, operations, and energy management capabilities. Prior to joining Skyline, Brad was the Managing Director of Asset Management at Avangrid Renewables, where he led a team responsible for 6,500 MW of wind, solar and natural gas generation assets. His former industry experience includes energy risk management as well as natural gas trading and scheduling in roles at Avangrid Renewables and Williams Power.

Brad holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Tulsa.

Robin Brown

Robin Brown

Controller

As Controller, Robin is leading the Skyline financial reporting and accounting functions. With 14 years of experience in the energy industry, he was previously Director of Budgeting and Reporting for Avangrid Renewables and had many years with direct oversight to operational and development/construction accounting.

Robin qualified as a management accountant (CIMA) after obtaining a B.A., with honors, in Accounting from Glasgow Caledonian University.

Vanessa Rakowitz-Holloway

Director of Human Resources

Vanessa leads Skyline Renewables’ Human Resources department by managing the recruiting, compliance, employment law, payroll, and compensation functions (among others). As the Director of HR, she also oversees the Business Office Coordinator. She brings over 8 years of experience in HR roles, including 5 years as the Director of HR for the Portland Timbers prior to joining the Skyline Renewables’ team.

Vanessa received her B.A. in Psychology from Portland State University, as well as her HR Management Certificate. She additionally holds a SHRM-CP Certification.

Victor Austin

M&A, Technology

As Managing Director of M&A and Technology, Victor has helped to facilitate the acquisition of Skyline’s first two projects – bringing the initial 225 MW of operating wind assets into Skyline’s portfolio. Victor formerly had a similar role at Avangrid/Iberdrola Renewables and prior to that developed wind projects with Midwest Renewable Energy. In his 20+ year career Victor has acquired and developed over 2,000 MW of wind power currently in operation.

Structuring & Financial Analysis

Formerly at BlackRock responsible for originating, structuring, and executing investments in infrastructure debt under client mandates of over $2bn and renewable power project acquisitions under a fund of $600m in assets under management and $200m of co-investment. Previously with Iberdrola Renewables, was responsible for structuring acquisitions and divestitures of renewable assets.

With over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, Rajiv held leadership positions at Constellation Energy, Sempra Energy and Thermax offering solutions to manage energy costs and transition to renewable sustainable solutions in a fast decarbonizing energy industry.

TOM LABARGE

GENERAL COUNSEL

Tom leads the legal function for Skyline Renewables and brings more than 20 years of experience as a corporate lawyer to the role, including several years at Vestas, the global leader in wind turbine sales and service. Tom began his career at Aquila (previously UtiliCorp United), a gas and electric utility company based in Kansas City, Missouri, and spent eight years in Atlanta with the aluminum manufacturing company Novelis, where he was the Assistant General Counsel (Finance) and Director of Corporate Compliance. Most recently he served as the Editor-in-Chief of One Page Thinking, an advisory firm specializing in visual communication tools to create clarity from complexity.

Tom holds two B.A. degrees in English/Spanish and Fine & Performing Arts (Voice) from St. Louis University, a J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law, and an LL.M. (International Legal Studies) from New York University School of Law.
